Anit wrinkle facial cream?

by admin on Apr.14, 2010, under facial wrinkle

What anti aging cream would you recommend?

There are so many anti wrinkle creams on the market today that it’s really hard to know which one actually works. Good news is, you don’t have to spend a fortune to look younger and take care of your skin. The 2 major creams that have taken the UK by storm so far are Aldi anti wrinkle cream (which came as a bit of a surprise to everyone) and Boots No7 protect and perfect. Here are reviews on them both. If you scour the internet you can find more. As companies are always trying to tell you that their product is "the best" I’d advise reading reviews from real people.

Some women hand over hundreds of pounds for creams that promise to smooth out their wrinkles.
Others prefer to pay £1.89. Aldi’s own label anti-wrinkle cream is flying off the cut-price supermarket’s shelves after winning a host of awards.

Siana Moisturising Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream, to give the product its full title, has beaten more expensive beauty heavyweights such as Helena Rubenstein, Olay and Elemis, to be named one of the best anti-ageing products on the market.

Woman’s Own magazine said it was ‘as good as the pricier products from well-known names’ and added: ‘Beauty industry tongues are wagging because it is so cheap and really works’.

Two thousand volunteers blind-tested the day cream for another magazine and voted it one of the most effective complexion smoothers. ‘I was asked if I’d had a facial,’ one enthused. ‘I think it must be expensive.’

At the beginning of the year, 890 jars a week were being sold nationwide at Aldi. Now more than 20,000 a week are being packed into trolleys, with dozens of branches selling out.

Manufacturers say the cream includes all the same ingredients as more expensive potions, including the enzyme Q10, which mimics the body’s ability to protect against premature aging.

The night version includes retinol complex to stimulate cell growth.

Aldi’s cream follows the success of the £17 Boots No 7 Protect and Perfect Beauty Serum which was a sell-out last year.

——————————————————————————–

I am a great fan of Boots no 7 beauty products so when Horizon recently tested anti-aging products and found that one made by Boots to be the best I was not surprised.
The product in question is Boots No 7 protect and Perfect beauty serum. I have been using this for several months now and the Horizon findings just confirmed my thoughts on this little miracle-it works!

I first came across perfect and Protect serum when I was browsing around my local Boots shop clutching a £5 voucher. The sales assistant confirmed my choice by telling me she loved the product and she looked pretty good to me!
Open the outer box and a smooth clear glass bottle is revealed. The serum itself is white. The bottle has a pump action, which is sometimes a bit slow to react!

The serum itself has a silky feel to it. To be honest when I first tried it I thought it felt a bit watery on my finger. However it glides onto the face easily and my skin felt instantly better the first time I used it. It sounds a bit cliché but my skin really did feel hydrated and softer.
The serum is easily absorbed and is not greasy at all.Pretect and Perfect dosn’t really have any scent to it and as its hypoallergenic I guess it has no perfume.

The product information suggests you first cleanse and tone your face before applying protect and perfect. I am lazy where beauty routines are concerned and only cleanse my face first. I don’t use a toner so don’t know if the results would be even better if I did! I also use Boots uplifting moisturiser before applying protect and perfect. You only need a pea-sized amount of this cream so a 30ml bottle will last for ages.
I have also found that my foundation goes on better after using protect and perfect-another bonus!

I can honestly say that I have noticed a big difference since using protect and perfect. My skin looks brighter and fine lines are less noticeable. I would highly recommend it!
How does it work?
******************
As I am a bit of a cynic as far as beauty product claims are concerned I thought I would look at the evidence about this serum for myself. I didn’t see the Horizon programme but read about the research later. Professor Lesley Regan a well-respected medical expert looked into several anti-aging products and found that the best was Boots protect and perfect-go Boots! She asked Professor Chris Griffith to carry out independent research into the product. He was able to prove scientifically that this product works!

Protect and perfect can actually repair photo-aged skin. This has to be great news for millions of women!
Protect and perfect contains Retinol a form of vitamin A. Retinol is used in acne treatment and is absorbed through the skin and increases the rate of cell renewal.

Protect and perfect also contains levels of collagen boosting ingredients to smooth out fine lines and help the skin to feel and appear firmer.
I really can’t think of anything negative to say about this product. It is easy to use, improves the look and feel of my face and is not too expensive.

I have been using protect and perfect for several months now and will continue to do so. I paid about £16 for my bottle and it is often on buy 2 get one free. Due to all the hype about this product it is currently very difficult to get hold of. Once Boots have more stock I would suggest you try it out for yourself!

I’m 15 so wouldn’t know which one works best, but my mum is obsessed with these creams and stuff. Since all the hype about No7 Protect and Perfect she’s started using it, even though she used to use Dior creams. She’s told me that she actually thinks the No7 one is better, as you can actually see a difference. All I can say is don’t trust the people trying to sell you their product, as you can’t know for definate whether it works when they’re just trying to make money.

Hope that helps!

What are some good facial creams and things to use?

by admin on Mar.28, 2010, under facial wrinkle cream

Im 15 and I want to know what are some good anti wrinkle creams, crows feet cream, and creams to tighten the face. I know im young but I heard if you start now it will help a lot to prevent it and it will help you to start getting in the routine of putting it on. What are the best brands that aren’t too expensive? I know it sounds crazy but I don’t want to get all super wrinkly and old looking lol.

Hello Candi, I’m a cosmetologist! You heard correctly. If you take care of your skin now, you will thank yourself for it later. First, I would like to say that you will get the best results if all of your face care products are the same brand. Each company formulates their products to work with each other. Avon’s Anew Retroactive line helps build anti-aging defenses, day and night, to slow down the signs of time to help prolong the skin’s most youthful state. If you think that is too advanced for your skin, you can look at the Mark (by Avon) skin care lines. I hope this helps and feel free to ask me more!

At what age should a woman start using anti-wrinkle face lotions?

by admin on Mar.24, 2010, under facial wrinkle

I am 24 year old female and was wondering at what age should i really start using anti-wrinkle facial creams. My skin still appears young and I want to do everything possible to prevent/reduce wrinkles. I also have acne prone skin. Does anyone know of a good product?
Thanks!!

Not til you turn 30, and buy a cream that contains retinol and vitamin D. Only put it on at night and around your eyes.
